"Angelic" - The Scrapbook Store DT Creation - Lemoncraft - Neverending Story - January

Welcome !
I hope this post finds you happy and well.
It has been a huge past week, that is, getting the kids back to school and feeling a little normalness return to our household......ahahhhhhhha...never!
However amongst the craziness of it all I poked my head into my art room copious times to do this last Design Team creation for The Scrapbook Store. I've said it many times before but I will say it again, I have been really spoilt this month having been able to play and create with the Lemoncraft "Neverending Summer" collection. I still have some papers left crazily enough, and I do think I could create another couple. Such a wonderful collection. Well done Lemoncraft!!
And this is my layout titled "Angelic" with my sweetest youngest one at the attention of the layout! On this particular day many moons ago I caught her in a very special moment. Contemplating life I guess! This photograph has been used many a time to adorn a layout....it is simply special to me!

I have astounded myself this time around by using nearly no chipboard. Heavens above wonders will never cease. What I have done here is used my remaining scraps left over from the previous layouts.
I have torn and fussy cut the leftover pieces and kind of jigsawed them back together to complete this layout.

You can see the layering of fussy cut elements here. These clusters of florals were found on each piece of the patterned papers from this collection so I was able to do quite a bit of layering around the photo which you can also see below.

My girls especially liked the banners which I have layered under a fussy cut piece and then a resin, followed by a metal clock face and then a sticker butterfly which I cut out and then prettied up by adding a little gesso and some Star Dust Stickles.

And a few more pics from differing views.

You can see the layering a little more here.

That is all from me here today. If you are looking to purchase products used on this project you can go here to The Scrapbook Store. Suzanne has an extremely extensive product line of the most beautiful collections just released.

I hope you have enjoyed your visit here today. Thank you and see you again.

Until next time....happy scrapping.

"Remember this Sweetness" The Scrapbook Store DT Creation - Lemoncraft - "Neverending Summer"

A huge hello to you and welcome.
I have been a little absent from my blogging and facebook this week. Doing a little labor of love.......this layout created for my Design Team part at The Scrapbook Store!
Sometimes creating takes me a little longer than the normal. But I finally think I have this where I originally wanted it. A little shabby, pretty and something to show my daughter my complete love and devotion for her.
This creation I have titled

"Remember this Sweetness"

Suzanne from The Scrapbook Store has been absolutely spoilt me this month with the "Neverending Sumer" collection from Lemoncraft. Absolutely sensational collection that nobody should be without.
For this layout I started with a quite simple background. I cut a frame, distressed the paper and layered it on a piece of chipboard. A little dry brushing of gesso around the edges to give it a bit more of a shabbyness and that was my starting point.

Well it is no secret that I love my Dusty Attic chippies and I have used quite a bit here! The scroll base was covered with Finnabair's artExtravagance platinum texture crackle paste and left to dry overnight. The top of the scroll was coated with gesso and inked with a little Tim Holtz Distress Ink (Picked Rasberry). Over the top of this I wiped a little of my fave Ranger Star Dust Stickles just to make it shine from the rest of the layout.

And isn't it funny the things that we keep in our stash and think that we will never use them.....but I finally have used this vine piece from Petaloo. That is really all I can tell you about it because it has been in my stash forever and I have lost the packaging. It was a vine that I have cut up into pieces.

Also in my cluster I have added in cheesecloth and a little moss that I have divided around the page.

The Dusty Attic title "Sweetness" was dressed in some Baby Pink Folk Art Visual Texture Acrylic Paint.....loooooooove this paint. Very dimensional like dimensional magic and comes in the same style bottle so you can draw with it. And it dries very quickly too!

And that is all from me here today!

Thank you ever so much for visiting me. And don't forget to keep scrolling if you are looking for a materials list which is listed below. All products can be purchased here at The Scrapbook Store.

"Best Friends"

A big hello to you!
I have been very busy this week unpacking my new release Dusty Attic chippies order and choosing which to use with my beautiful Lemoncraft, "Neverending Summer" collection that I received.  I took inspiration from the current moodboard at Dusty Attic. It is just so very yummy! There is a $100 prize up for grabs. All you need do is upload a project using inspiration from the board below. You must have a little or if you like a lot of Dusty goodies to qualify!!

So once I chose which of my chippies to use it with, it was down to business. This layout I have titled "Best Friends". My eldest daughter giggled when she saw this title on my page as she doesn't quite see their relationship like that. However I see it from a different point of view of course! Cydne looks up to Ashlea more than they both realise. And when they are getting along it is a beautiful thing to see.

This is another of the photos I took at our little photo shoot in the back yard. It's the photos that are not planned that always seem to work the best. I was changing over my lens and looked up and there they both were lying down together holding hands chatting as they do! Such a precious memory.I hope you enjoy this layout as much as I did creating it.

My starting point for this layout was firstly to layout my gorgeous Dusty Attic chippies and arrange them in a way that I am happy with. And sometimes this may take me absolute hours as crazy as it may seem, but this is how I do things.

The first of my Dusty Attic pieces was a newbie called "Swirly Frame" (DA 1468) . This would have to be my newest favourite from the new releases. Absolutely gorgeous. So this piece was crackled and then randomly inked over the raised sections of the crackle.

Foliage # 2 was my next point of call. This was inked and then covered with Dusty Attic Clear Crackle Varnish. I always give them a very generous coating and leave to dry sometimes over night. When dry I wipe a little gesso over the cracks made and wipe off the excess. You can see the results of the crackle below.

Another close-up!

The remainder of my layout was kept very simple. I cut out the photo and glued it to the back of the frame.  I used several pretty doilies, cut circles from the Neverending Summer "Strawberry Mousse" patterned paper and glued them to the centres of the doilies. I then  layered the doilies around the chipboard circle frame.

My base paper "Swimming in the Lake" which is just divine I felt needed very little added to it so I only added a little texture paste through a new release Dusty Attic Stencil called Creative Script Stencil. Love it!!!

Well that is all for me. I so hope your enjoyed your visit here today. Thank you for taking the time to pop on over here. I really do appreciate it.
Until next time ......happy crafting.

"In the Blink of an Eye" - 2016 TSS DT project - Lemoncraft "Neverending Summer"

Welcome and a very happy new year to you!
Today I have my very first share and my first creation for 2016. This month The Scrapbook Store has spoilt me rotten and sent me the gorgeous "Neverending Summer" collection from Lemoncraft.
It is soooooooo very pretty! I couldn't wait to get started.

I have titled this layout "In the Blink of an Eye"
And isn't it true how very quickly they grow. It was only yesterday that I remember chasing around after Cydne, trying to keep up with her. My two girls are growing into the most beautiful of people. And I couldn't be prouder of them.

So the girls and I had a little photo shoot a few weeks back and this is my fave fave photo from it. I have used this photo once already and I am sure you probably noticed that I had, but I just couldn't resist using it again!

So the starting point for this layout was cutting up the board panels from The Journey into the Unknown patterned paper. I have used three sheets of this!! They are layered up and down and also sideways.

My titled was dressed with Liquid Pearls....allowed to dry and then dry brushed with gesso and a little Distress Ink (Walnut Stain).

Some close-ups of the flower clusters.

I didn't aim to use these hot pink flowers but one happen to fall onto my desk from a basket above and well the rest is history really. The colour I think makes the page pop and give it more depth.

And again.
I so hope you have enjoyed today's share of Lemoncraft's Neverending Summer collection. There are three more to come so stay posted.

I have  listed all the materials used for this below. All products can be purchased
here at The Scrapbook Store. Keep scrolling for the list.

Thank you so much for visiting here today. And until next time....
Happy creating.
